Chattisham & Hintlesham and Burstall Parish Councils have a vacancy for a Parish Clerk.  For full details go to: PC Vacancy

The Parish Council meets on the second Thursday of the month (no meeting in August) at 7.30pm in the Meeting Room at The Community Hall, George Street, Hintlesham - see notices in the parish magazine The Link and on noticeboards around the villages. The Parish Council may also meet on the fourth Thursday of the month to discuss any Planning Applications, comments on which must be delivered to Babergh District Council before the following Parish Council Meeting.

Annual Parish Meetings are held in the Spring when electors hear reports on the activities of the Council and other local organisations and can have their say on local matters.

The Parish Council takes responsibility for many matters affecting Hintlesham and Chattisham.  It can also use its Village Rate to provide grants and other facilities for village organisations.  For details of the Parish Precept for 2016/17, go to:  Precept
